The Obama PR opportunity and your fitness business
51% of the country is giddy with excitement about our new President-elect, Barack Obama.
That’s 1 out of every 2 adults in America. A pretty significant “market.”
And between now and January’s inauguration, few things will be more top of consciousness with Americans than Barack Obama.
Shouldn’t you be leveraging that opportunity?
Obama is on the cover of Men’s Health magazine, and here’s a story online about him called “Obama’s 9 lessons in balance, love and leadership.”
Heroes of health and fitness:

Despite being a former smoker, Obama appears to be a pretty fit guy.
I know he loves to shoot hoops.
Think there’s some PR to be had here?
Certainly the quitting smoking story is significant, something like “How Obama Beat His Demons And Reclaimed His Health.”
Maybe a “Be Like Barack 12 Week Fitness Challenge”
Or…
“The Obama-Mania Workout”
And what about Michelle Obama?
There’s a good chance she has something to say about fitness or nutrition you can leverage…
“Michelle Obama’s Family Fitness Program”
“Michelle Obama’s 5 Favorite Healthy Recipes”
The point is, Obama’s the biggest news in America and worldwide…RIGHT NOW.
And you need to capitalize by piggybacking on that fact.
If I were you, I’d be doing some serious research about him and his family and their fitness regimen, ideas, quotes, etc. looking for “hooks” you can use in your press releases.
I’d look for ways to leverage this news NOW, while it’s fresh on everyone’s mind.
How about promoting your Obama fitness and nutrition workshop or seminar?
A good press release, combined with good marketing tools like what you’ll find in our new “Butts In Seats” free Special Report could get you a LOT of attention.
The report is here:
Be a marketing maniac,
