The Obama PR opportunity and your fitness business

Wednesday, November 5th, 2008

51% of the country is giddy with excitement about our new President-elect, Barack Obama.

That’s 1 out of every 2 adults in America. A pretty significant “market.”

President-elect Barack Obama presents huge media opportunities for the savvy fitness professional

President-elect Barack Obama presents huge media opportunities for the savvy fitness professional

And between now and January’s inauguration, few things will be more top of consciousness with Americans than Barack Obama.

Shouldn’t you be leveraging that opportunity?

Obama is on the cover of Men’s Health magazine, and here’s a story online about him called “Obama’s 9 lessons in balance, love and leadership.”

Heroes of health and fitness:
http://www.menshealth.com/mhlists/heroes_of_health_and_fitness/Barack_Obama.php

Despite being a former smoker, Obama appears to be a pretty fit guy.

I know he loves to shoot hoops.

Think there’s some PR to be had here?

Certainly the quitting smoking story is significant, something like “How Obama Beat His Demons And Reclaimed His Health.”

Maybe a “Be Like Barack 12 Week Fitness Challenge”

Or…

“The Obama-Mania Workout”

And what about Michelle Obama?

There’s a good chance she has something to say about fitness or nutrition you can leverage…

“Michelle Obama’s Family Fitness Program”

“Michelle Obama’s 5 Favorite Healthy Recipes”

The point is, Obama’s the biggest news in America and worldwide…RIGHT NOW.

And you need to capitalize by piggybacking on that fact.

If I were you, I’d be doing some serious research about him and his family and their fitness regimen, ideas, quotes, etc. looking for “hooks” you can use in your press releases.

I’d look for ways to leverage this news NOW, while it’s fresh on everyone’s mind.

How about promoting your Obama fitness and nutrition workshop or seminar?

A good press release, combined with good marketing tools like what you’ll find in our new “Butts In Seats” free Special Report could get you a LOT of attention.

The report is here:

http://www.FitBizGoldRush.com

Be a marketing maniac,
Eric Ruth

P.S. In the “Butts In Seats” report I show you two postcards, a flyer and “squeeze page” that generated 52 eager seminar attendees in 17 days on a shoestring budget.  Solid, proven tools and a unique twist on seminar marketing strategy I’m sure you’ve never seen before. Get it now (no cost) right here:

http://www.FitBizGoldRush.com

P.P.S. If you’ve got thoughts or ideas to share about the best way to capitalize on Obama’s win, click the ‘add comment’ link below and tell us what’s on your mind…

Here’s what Fitness Business Success Looks Like

Tuesday, October 14th, 2008

Their names are Mike Stare, Shana Ross,
Coach RB Berry, Shannon Willits and Conor Kelly.

They’re the five finalists who competed for
NPE Member of the Year at last weekend’s
Mega Training Workshop.

You’ll see them telling their stories from the
stage, in front of what is probably the largest
live audience any of them have spoken to.

You’ll get choked up, just like we all did.

And you’ll get FIRED up, just like we all did.

Seeing these five light up the stage with their
personal stories of overcoming all kinds of
obstacles (not one of them had an easy, smooth
ride) and prevailing in spite of challenges and
hurdles and roadblocks at almost every turn…
WILL light a fire under your rear-end.

And after watching them, you’ll be ready to go
out and conquer your market…seizing what is
yours…kickin’ butt and takin’ names.

I’m not kidding — you’d have to be a corpse not
to get excited, inspired and pump-your-fist motivated
watching these five NPE Member of the Year finalists
tell their stories.

It’s like watching Rocky for the first time all over again.

You may even be tossing back some raw eggs and
pulling on your old sweats and go running in the
dark, wee hours of the morning after you see these
videos.

We’ll have the videos back from our videographer in
a few days, and then we’ll release one a day
(posting to the blog), leading up to the big finale…
NPE Member of the Year for 2008.

These stories are so good, so inspiring and so
meaty — giving rock solid information and guidance
about how to follow their path to a successful fitness
business, how to avoid the mistakes they made, how to
create and capitalize on opportunity, how to think big
and achieve big…with speed! (You’ll see Conor talk
about how he went from 30K in debt to 30K in bank, a
wedding in Bulgaria and a new BMW…in less than 10
months - and that’s just one of our five finalists)

Just flat out great stuff - and it’s all coming your
way in a few days.

Stay tuned,

Eric

P.S. If you’re sorta hanging out by the fence watching
us to see if NPE is the real deal…just sorta waiting
to put your toe in the water…after seeing these videos
there will be no doubt. There CAN be no further lingering
doubt.  I appreciate how important proof is to overcoming
skepticism and cynicism…and you’ll find no more potent
and convincing proof of just how deadly serious we are
about helping those who truly want help…and the results -
the LIFE CHANGING results - they achieve with our help…
showcased in these upcoming videos.  If you’re one of the
smart fitness professionals who is sick of the ‘hype’ and
just wants the meat, the nuts-and-bolts system, the tried
and true tools and the millyun dollar blueprint for success
in the fitness business, then come on in, the water’s fine…

Last Chance! NPE Workshop Early Bird Discount Deadline Is TODAY!

Thursday, July 31st, 2008

I have shocking news to share with you, but first…

***********************************
LAST CHANCE - EARLY BIRD DISCOUNT ENDS TODAY

The deadline to take advantage of the Early Bird Discount for NPE Mega-Training Fitness Business Blueprint Workshop is TODAY (Thursday, July 31). Save 100 bucks and get the single most important and valuable tool for exploding your fit-biz profits in 2009 by registering now:

http://www.NPEMegaTraining.com

***********************************

You Will Be Shocked By This

The easy, tried and true path for a big-profit payday is for a ‘guru’ to sell a bunch of people on his or her list into attending a seminar with lots of speakers with products they want to peddle. The speakers get up on stage, give you a couple tips, get you excited about the “secrets” in their products, and then offer you a special, one-time-only opportunity to get their product at “rock-bottom” price during the seminar.

It’s worked for decades, and it will continue to work…to enrich the guru (because he or she gets 50% or more of all sales at the seminar)…and generate new customers for the speakers.

But that’s not the shocking news.

In fact, if you’ve ever attended one of those seminars, you’ve seen how they work already. You probably remember how pumped up you were by all the great “ideas” you heard, how motivated you were to try and duplicate the “success” the speakers seem to be having, and how eager you were to get your hands on their “secrets.”

You probably also remember how much “lighter” you were after dropping hundreds or more on a bunch of products at the event. And how frustrated you felt a few weeks later when you realized just how difficult it is to implement everything they told you to do.

Those seminars are like a night out with wild friends doing Tequila shooters: you catch a great buzz, inhibitions dissolve away, and everything - for the moment - is positive and fun.

Then you wake up the next day with a pounding hangover, a dry mouth and feeling emotionally spent and alone.

Because now you’re on your own. The party’s over. The alcohol or adrenaline metabolized, the reality of real life smacking you in the face.

And you’re confronted with the same problem you had before the seminar…”what now?”

I’ve been to dozens of these seminars and experienced this first hand. I know the drill. I’ve felt the adrenaline rush…and the crash.

And I spent YEARS of my life trying to piece everything together into a step-by-step plan I could follow that would finally give me the results I was desperate for.

Years of my life.

From 1989 to 1998, to be exact. Almost a decade.

Maybe I’m slower than most - maybe I’m a little thick - I really don’t know.

All I know is I really wish just ONE of those seminars lived up to the promises it made.

If I’d gotten the PLAN I needed way back when, I’d probably be retired in Tahiti right now.

So here’s the shocking news…

Sean and I are doing something completely different.

We’re going against the grain.

It would be easy for us to follow the proven model of filling a room with our Members and subscribers…and then selling a bunch of stuff.

But that wouldn’t be true to our Mission Statement. It wouldn’t be congruent. Because it wouldn’t help you get the results you want.

It would make us bookoo bucks, but it wouldn’t serve you.

So instead, we’re giving you the exact, step-by-step PLAN you need to make 2009 your most explosively profitable and fulfilling year ever when you attend the NPE Mega-Training Workshop in October.

We’re putting at risk over 65K to give you what you need more than anything else…

The Proven Blueprint for a Mega-Profitable Fitness Business.

The plan - the roadmap - step-by-step - soup to nuts.

And we’ve developed a PROCESS for doing so.  Unlike an “event” where you show up, sit down, listen and then buy more stuff - two or three days of wham-bam-thank-you-maam, then you’re outtie and on your own…

…we’ve developed a SYSTEM for teaching you the SYSTEM.

You’ll be provided pre-workshop grounding materials, exercises, interaction, coaching and training that prepares you to take full advantage of the time we have together before, during and after the Workshop in Boston October 11 and 12.

You’ll arrive already warmed up, with a nice sweat going, ready to get into action and MAXIMIZE every minute - wringing every bit of value from this workshop.

Then you’ll go home knowing precisely what to do next.  Let me say that again…you’ll go home knowing PRECISELY what to do next.  No confusion, no hangover, no “seminar blues.”

And we even follow-up the workshop with TWO webinar-conference calls to address any unanswered questions and to provide on-going coaching, training and direction.

We don’t leave you hanging…alone…and confused.

So this is NOT an ‘event’ - it’s a process.  And that’s how plans are developed, habits are formed, systems are implemented. And it’s this process that guarantees 2009 will be your best, most profitable year ever in the fitness business.

   ***********************
    More shocking news…
   ***********************

There’s one thing every fitness business MUST have in order to prosper, and it’s this:

  ==> Marketing collateral <==

You must have tools for delivering your message to your market. And for most, if not all, that is the primary stumbling block - the biggest obstacle.

Until now, it’s been almost impossible for all but a handful of fit-pros to determine which tools they need, let alone create them all.  But that problem goes away now.  Because all attendees of the NPE Mega-Training Workshop are going to be handed the ULTIMATE MARKETING TOOL CHEAT SHEET.

This makes producing top-notch, response-inducing, client-generating marketing tools a simple, step-by-step process anyone can follow.

And it’ll blow you away.

   ********************
    Let’s Wrap This Up
   ********************

I know this has been a long note, and I appreciate you reading it all the way through. And the fact that you’ve read this far tells me something: you get it. You understand the value of what we do here at NPE. You realize and appreciate that “ideas and a nickel will get you a stick of gum” - but systems, tools and coaching will explode your fit-biz profits.

The fact that you’re reading this tells me you don’t want to go through the 9 year trial and error phase I went through trying to piece everything together and figure it all out on my own. You want the shortcut, the proven path, the plan, the blueprint.

  ==> THE MISSING LINK! <==

And that’s exactly what you get when you register now for the NPE Mega-Training Workshop.

And when you register today you save 100 bucks with the Early Bird Discount.

You can even take advantage of the EZ-pay monthly equalizer payment plan.

If you’re a serious fitness professional, this really is a simple decision. And a decision you will look back on as one of the wisest of your career.

Go here to register now and save with the early bird discount:

http://www.NPEMegaTraining.com

And let us show you the money.

Respectfully,

Eric Ruth
NPE, LLC

P.S. You can have the complete fitness marketing blueprint and 52-week marketing calendar, plus the pre-workshop training, post-workshop training, the ULTIMATE MARKETING TOOL CHEAT SHEET (which is stunningly powerful), and more that I can’t even tell you about now…plus the opportunity to spend two days networking with some of the most successful fit-biz owners in America and world-wide. This is how breakthroughs are made, my friend. We look forward to seeing you there. Register now at:

Does Your Profit Plateau?

Monday, July 28th, 2008

NPE Trip To Canda July 08

Hope you had a great weekend.

Eric, Dick, and I are all home after a trip to Canada for some business.

Nice and cool up there, and gotta say I’m missing it after stepping back into the North Carolina heat wave.

I should’ve had more pictures, but here’s a quick one from the airport with NPE member John Wheeler and his key staff members Terra and Sophie. John recently got in on our Deep Core™ class, and after getting a taste of what NPE has to offer… he called up wanting more! So we met to discuss how we can best help him and his 20 clubs grow to the next level. Looks like we’ll be doing some work together and we’re all excited about the opportunities this presents.

Anyway, enough about that, the show must go on, so let’s get back to talking about you and your fitness business.

I recently had a call with NPE Platinum member Chris Hill…

…Now Chris is a kick butt studio owner, and everything he touches turns to gold. But, there’s something “odd” about Chris’s situation that always gets me thinking…

…You see there are millions of companies across America who have been making the same amount of profit year-in-and-year-out for God knows how many years.

It’s as if these companies are “stuck” in limbo. Their growth (and therefore their profit) has plateaued and it looks like they’re happy for it to stay that way (or at least don’t know what to do to get it going up again).

And yet, for the last two years that Chris has been an NPE member he’s NEVER had a month lower than the last. That is to say he is always making more and more money year-in-and-year-out.

So, what’s the difference between these companies who have got their profit “stuck” and the successful Mr. Chris Hill?

For the record, Chris doesn’t have his own dollar bill printing press (as far as I’m aware).

And no, Chris doesn’t own shares in the oil companies… although he is securing some “mineral rights” on land at the moment. :)

So, want to hear Chris’s secret to success? Well you can when you listen into the recording of the call I had with him on this month’s NPE Gold Audio Success CD available at:

http://www.NPEgold.com

When you do you’ll also discover…

* How Chris transitioned himself from a personal trainer working 24/7 to a business owner working 24 whenever the heck he feels like it!

* One of the first things you need to have in place within your fitness business to ensure success.

* Why Chris wishes he could have kicked himself in the butt five years ago, and NOT waited to make the one business decision we always keep telling you about. Do this today and it will double, even triple your free time.

* How to streamline your marketing campaign with the one tool every single fitness professional MUST now be using if they really want to move up to the next level.

* How Chris blew-up his business with public speaking and what crucial speaking tool adds structure to your talk and makes it a comfortable, not a terrifying experience.

* How to reach more people - although not everyone wants to come to the gym, and not everyone can afford private training - everyone wants to be fit and healthy, and you can reach them too by “widening your net.”

* And much, much more!

…You see Chris is the guest interviewee on July’s NPE Gold Audio Success CD of the month, and so he has “fessed up” on some of his major player growth and profit strategies that you too can implement in your fitness business, and grow just like Chris has.

By the way, Chris is now planning his very own, brand spanking new 10,000sq/ft facility - that’s how good the systems and keys to success he reveals are.

So, wanna learn more about what Chris knows on running and growing a successful fitness business?

Great, then get over to the site below and listen to Chris’s complete interview for F.R.E.E. when you take advantage of the NPE Gold 30-Day Trial offer at:

http://www.NPEgold.com

To your success,

Sean Greeley

P.S. The interview I did with Chris will only be available for 4 more days… then we’re moving onto next month’s issue  and this goes back into the NPE vault. So make sure you get on this right away by grabbing your F.R.E.E. 30-day NPE Gold Trial at:

Do You Want This Fitness Marketing Tool?

Tuesday, July 22nd, 2008

My wife, Brandy is in Chicago today attending a conference on persuasion and influence based on the teachings of Robert Cialdini’s book, Influence: The Psychology of Persuasion.

She was there yesterday, too. Spent the day in the conference and the evening shopping on the Magnificent Mile (gulp!)  Not looking forward to the MasterCard bill.

Brandy’s recently launched her own biz, after ten years in sales for a Fortune 500 company.

And she’s doing almost everything right.  she’s already in action…already marketing to drive leads and build a list.

And she’s getting LOTS of information and instruction, learning best practices and getting coached. She and I meet every Sunday for a strategic planning session so I can help her flesh out her marketplace domination plan!

But I’m far from her only resource (I just happen to be the cheapest).

In fact, she’s on a bunch of local ‘gurus’ newsletter lists (she’s doing biz locally). One of them is a woman who is apparently a pretty sharp marketer.  A few weeks ago, this woman made an offer to her list to provide a 2-hr “marketing plan” session for a couple hundred bucks.

Brandy showed me the info, and we agreed it would be a good move to make in order to get feedback from a local expert. So she bought.

Last Thursday she met with the woman.  When Brandy got home I asked her how it went.

“Great,” she said. “Carol’s full of ideas.”

Red flag goes up for me immediately.

“Ideas?” I asked, “I thought this was a marketing planning session?”

“Well, we didn’t really get around to that because Carol was just throwing out one great marketing idea after the next,” Brandy explained.

I’ve talked to Brandy about this before. And I tell her the same thing I’ve been telling fitness professionals since 1998…

“Ideas…and a nickel…will get a stick of gum.”

Marketing ideas (tactics) are important, for sure.

But they are ONLY *valuable* when they’re integrated into a STRATEGIC ACTION PLAN.

The kiss of death for new biz owners, and veterans alike, is getting caught up in tactical thinking and marketing.

Because then you confuse activity with accomplishment.  You don’t gain any ground.  There’s no coherence and congruence from one activity to the next.  You jump from this tactic to that, from press releases to public speaking, from ebooks to ebay, from magazine ads to postcards, etc., etc.

And none of those activities - those tactics - are integrated into a STRATEGIC ACTION PLAN (do you have this tool in your fit biz?)

So you spin your wheels.  You don’t get traction.  You don’t get MOMENTUM. And you start every day thinking…

“What am I going to do NEXT to get more clients?”

Being tactical - always looking for the next big idea or next cool marketing activity - is like being a dog chasing his tail.

You go round and round, get dizzy, tired and frustrated, and then take a nap.

Look, until and unless you get a ROCK-SOLID comprehensive, integrated, congruent and complete STRATEGIC fitness marketing action plan in place, you will keep chasing your tail.

It’s just that simple.

And you already know it. You’re probably experiencing that in your biz right now.

Which is precisely why Sean, Dick and I are doing our NPE Mega-Training Workshop in October.

It’s ALL about putting into your hands a complete 52-week strategic fitness marketing BLUEPRINT action plan you can follow to make sure 2009 is your best, most profitable year ever.

This Workshop is how to get the single most important and valuable tool you will EVER have in your fit biz.  If you don’t have one - a fully formed and complete strategic action plan - then you’re at a severe disadvantage.

Because this tool is the bridge across the gaping pit between where you are now and where you want to be.

There’s a hundred buck early bird discount when you register for the Workshop before the end of this month (by July 31st).  Here’s how to get the tool you want:

http://www.NPEMegaTraining.com

Of course, the reality is you have a choice:

You can either work hard *IN* your fitness business and earn a living, or you can work hard *ON* your fitness business and earn a fortune.

You’re going to do one or the other, so the only question is - which would you prefer?

If the second option is more appealing to you, then register for the Workshop now (and save 100 bucks):

http://www.NPEMegaTraining.com

All the best,
Eric Ruth

P.S. Want to get a jump-start on some of the strategies we’ll be covering in detail at the Workshop? Then watch this 5-lesson video training series here:

How To Become An Obvious Expert

Tuesday, July 8th, 2008

Hope you had a great 4th of July holiday.

Nice to get a few days off, isn’t it?

Christina and I were in Asheville, NC for a few days of R & R. And it was a great trip.

Got to tour the Biltmore, which if you haven’t heard of, is billed as America’s Largest Home.

It’s a 251 room ‘castle’ that was built by George Vanderbilt III in 1895.

And it’s impressive to say the least.

One of the most interesting things we saw was Vanderbilt’s library.

It’s 2 stories tall, which a great winding staircase that goes up to the ’second floor’ of the room. In total Vanderbilt’s collection was over 10,000 volumes.

A New York journalist one time hailed him as the ‘best read man in America’.

Vanderbilt kept a list of books he had read since the age of 12. And by the time he died that list totaled 3,159. Which was the equivalent of reading 2 books a week, for his entire life.

Pretty incredible, huh?

One thing I’ve always enjoyed is history. And in particular the biography’s and history of great men who have accomplished much in their lifetime.

Reading is something that every human being who wants to grow should do more of.

You know before we had X-Box, DVD, HD-TV, Blu-Ray, Apple TV, I-Phone, and all the like. That’s what people used to do- READ!

After this weekend I was inspired to rededicate myself to being an even better ’student’ of subjects that interest me like business and fitness.

Here’s a simple tip I heard from a mentor of mine that’ll I’ll share with you.

Go invest in 5 or 6 of the top books in your field.

Put them on your nightstand.

And then commit to reading a chapter a night.

That’s it. Just a chapter a night.

Do you know that if you did that, within 6 months you’ll have read 180 chapters?

How much more of an ‘expert’ do you think you’ll be once you’ve read that much more in your field?

Give it a shot.

To your success,
Sean

P.S. Another VERY important component of success is what I like to call setting “ambitiously realistic” goals - for both your personal and professional life. And that’s the subject of the first video in our new ‘BLUEPRINT’ training series. Check it out now at:

Here’s The BIG Missing Link In Your Fitness Business

Monday, June 9th, 2008

A quick note to let you know about the video I just posted.

It shows you the big, fat missing link in your fitness business.

It pinpoints EXACTLY where the CORE problem is.

After consulting with and speaking to thousands of fitness professionals since 1998, I’ve seen this nasty bugger over and over and over again.

It is the #1 PROBLEM facing every fitness business owner I know.

(And it’s NOT what you think)

Now we’re going to show you not only what it is…but also how to fix it.

Watch this 5 minute video right now:

http://www.NPEMegaTraining.com

Working for you,
Eric Ruth

P.S. Before you can fix ANY problem, let alone one this glaring and “hairy” - you have to know what it is. And I assure you…you DO have this problem in your fitness business:

You Sell It, But Do You Buy It?

Wednesday, May 14th, 2008

Sounds like a riddle…

“You sell it, but do you buy it?”

But it’s not a riddle, it’s a very serious question.

Think back on the most influential people in your life.

Chances are, each one of them ‘coached’ you in some way or another.

I know that’s the case for me.

Vaughn, my high school chemistry teacher and volleyball coach, coached me how to think analytically and critically, lead a team and play within myself.

My mom coached me how to love unconditionally (sappy, but true!)

My copywriting mentor, Lynne Sheridan, coached me on developing story, creating urgency and arousing curiosity.

My older brother, Mike, coached me how to shotgun a beer :)

Actually, when he wasn’t ridiculing me for the way I combed my hair (yes, I DID have hair back in the day) he was most influential in coaching me how to be independent and self-reliant.

Phyllis, the old Piano Shop diva, coached me how to sell.

Halbert, Kennedy and Abraham coached me how to market strategically.

My good friend, Ron, coached me how to influence and persuade.

My dad coached me how to be a man, get things done and always take responsibility.

Those are the BIG impact coaches I’ve had in my life, but there are many, many more coaches who influenced me.

Five years ago, when Brandy and I got interested in real estate, we got coached by an investment expert.

Right now, we’re going through coaching with a financial planner.

I get coaching from Sean and Dick on organization, time management and systemization.

I’m being coached by the best in the business on a specific technology (mind-mapping) that I’m trying to master (had a class yesterday) so I can keep up with Sean.

The list goes on.

Why do we invest in coaching?

Why do your clients come to YOU for coaching?

To leverage your expertise, right? To get speed and efficiencies, to get results faster and with greater certainty.

You sell it, but do you buy it?

Brandy and I want to learn ballroom dancing. We could go buy a book or dvd, but that’s not as efficient as finding a good instructor and getting coached by an expert. We want to be proficient quickly, so we’ll get the coach.

Who have your coaches been? Who are they now?

When we’re younger, we get coached on just about everything. But after we get out of school, for a lot of people, the coaching ends.

Not necessarily because they don’t appreciate the value, but usually because of a price rationalization.

What’s interesting is that there’s probably no greater ROI than coaching.

It’s how breakthroughs are achieved.

You know that - you see it in your clients every day.

If you were/are a competitive athlete, in many cases it’s the quality of coaching that helped you reach the next higher level.

WHAT’S THAT WORTH?

I’m on mission to get back into competitive sports. I used to play A-level volleyball, but haven’t since I moved down to Raleigh. Now I’m going to pick up tennis. I’m searching for a coach - not a book or dvd or even a playing partner…a great coach.

Because I want to get good…fast.

And nothing’s more valuable to me than my time.

What about yours - how valuable is your time?

What’re speed and leverage worth to you?

You sell it, but do you buy it?

Maybe a better way to say that is…

“You sell it, but do you BELIEVE it?”

You believed it was necessary for your technical training - so you got certified.

Do you believe it’s necessary for your business training?

I hope so, because the reality is any fool can make soap, but it takes a clever person to sell it.

Fitness service providers are a dime a dozen.

Even really great fitness experts are not hard to find.

What’s hard to find are great fitness experts who are also great fitness business owners.

If you’re passionate about helping people, as I believe you are, then you’re probably an excellent TECHNICIAN of your trade - an excellent coach.

That and a nickel will get you a stick of gum.

The only thing that keeps you in business and gives you the lifestyle and freedom you want, is mastering the business side of fitness. THAT skill will buy you anything you desire.

If you want to be an excellent technician AND an excellent fit-biz owner, then doesn’t it make sense to get coached by someone like Sean Greeley who built a 650+ client fit-biz, created the most successful fitness sales system in the history of this industry (AUTOCLOSER) and the fit-biz management system that ‘clones’ you (DUPLICATOR)? He not only created them, he is the primary implementation coach for those systems, too.

You think you could learn a few things from him?

You think the ROI would be pretty significant?

You think there would be real speed and leverage there?

If you’re a doubting thomas, check out the success stories and ‘hall of fame’ on our website at:

http://www.FitnessMarketingSystems.com

I challenge you to find anyone - ANYONE - else in this industry who has the quantity and quality of testimonials - of PROOF - we do that what we teach actually works…actually puts muney in your pockets, not takes it out.

You sell it, but do you buy it? Do you actually believe you can achieve the business breakthrough you want with the right coaching and guidance - just as you tell your prospects and clients they can achieve their fitness breakthrough by working with you?

Raincoats off, Rulers Out…

Monday, May 12th, 2008

Hope you had a good weekend.

I just returned this morning from a weekend trip to Washington, D.C. where I attended a Crossfit Certification.

Those of you who know me already, know that I’ve talked quite a bit about finding Crossfit almost a year ago and it is my personal fitness program of choice.

For 2 days I got to learn more about the Crossfit core concepts, movements, philosophies and also get to meet the founder of the program, Greg Glassman, which was a great treat.

Coach Glassman’s work is having a profound effect on how fitness is defined and what it really means.

And his programing has now become the staple of top athletes, military, and first responder organizations around the world.

This weekend there were about 50 people in attendance, and I’d say at least 60% of the room was military.

In fact, I set next to a great guy named Bo who’s in the Air Force, works at the Pentagon, and flies an F-16.

Very cool stuff.

Anyway, one of Coach’s great sayings is:

“Raincoats Off, Rulers Out”

And he uses it in the context of putting everything out in the open, for the world to see, and then seeing once and for all who’s got the biggest [insert-male-body-part-here] in the room.

Coach is a VERY results oriented guy, and so is the entire Crossfit community.

Everyone times and measures their workouts, and posts their results to the web for the world to see.

Good, bad, and ugly.

EVERYTHING is out in the open.

That is something that we’re committed to as well in NPE.

We’re not hiding behind smoke and mirrors over here.

We’re open and upfront with everyone about what it really takes to achieve success in your fitness business.

And the reality is it takes hard work.

That’s not for everyone, for sure.

But what I think is even more important than hard work, is SMART work.

Sure, you must bring energy, enthusiasm, and commitment to serve others to the table as a fitness business owner.

But then you must ALSO apply the right SYSTEMS (or programming) to achieve success.

And if you apply the WRONG programming, well, you really can’t get very far at all.

Success in business is just like success in fitness.

Showing up to the gym, being motivated, and working hard IS a requirement for success, but it is only the foundation.

If you really want to become an ELITE ‘business owner’ then you’ve got to apply the right programing (SYSTEMS), the right equipment (TOOLS), and get good COACHING from people who know more than you do.

Without those 3 things in place, in the right order and configuration, your progress will be very short lived and you’ll quickly hit a plateau in your growth.

We’re going to be talking more about this, and showing you what OUR programming looks like over here on Wednesday’s NPE membership site webinar taking place this Wednesday at 2pm EST.

Registration at:

http://www.NPEMembershipSite.com

If you haven’t registered for it already, then I encourage you to do so.

You’ll learn more about what it really takes to succeed in the fitness industry, and how to become an ELITE business owner.

I look forward to speaking with you Wednesday,

Sean

P.S. Both Eric and I practice what we preach. And we’re going to take ‘raincoats off, rulers out’ in terms of what our members are doing, how they are doing it, and the results they are getting on Wednesday’s webinar. This event will not be reposted for playback, so if you’re serious about growing your fitness business then I encourage you to join us live on the call. Complete your registration at:
