How Sharp Is Your Saw?

Friday, July 25th, 2008

I don’t know if you’ve been watching the Olympic Trials the last several weeks, but I have and all I can say is…

…I’m PUMPED!

Several national and world records have already been set through just the trails.

Tyson Gay’s 9.68 second 100m run was just incredible..

And both Michael Phelps and Katie Hoff’s swimming records set in the 400 IM were equally as impressive.

And let’s not forget Dara Torres… setting new swimming records… at age 41!

How do these athletes do it?

What’s their secret?

If you follow their stories closely, as I do, you’ll find each of them attribute their success to ONE key principle.

And the principle works for them just as well as it works for you and me.

You can use it in to smash records of your own in your fitness business- like having your biggest month in sales, or having over 100 clients on your list - whatever you want.

Sound interesting? All is revealed in the July 2008 issue of the NPE Fitness Marketing Letter available at:

http://www.NPEGold.com

When you read this month’s FML newsletter you’ll also discover…

* What a world famous realtor called Ida “The Hurricane” Terbet can teach you about how to be a success in the fitness industry.

* 3 Key Strategic Questions that will help you save time, effort and money.

* How to avoid the herd mentality - “If you follow the herd, they’ll lead you straight to the slaughter.”

* Why there’s no crying at NPE, even when everything that can go wrong does go wrong. You can be dealing with sh*t all day and still come up smelling like roses when you adopt this winners mentality.

* How to ride the wave of success, right through the “recession”.

* How Aussie fit pro Rick Isaac is killing it down under (closed $73,720 in the last four months) and why he swears by the power of systemization. Good on ya mate!

* Plus blogging secrets from internet marketing expert Lynn VanDyke, the “RRRR” efficiency formula taught to Dick “The Master” Chilton by his old army captain, the fitness marketing laboratory explosive exhibit analysis column and much, much more!

Not a bad issue we’ve put together if I do say so myself, right?

Get your hands on it for F.R.E.E. when you test-drive NPE Gold (along with the 6 bonus reports and audio we’ve giving away) at:

http://www.NPEGold.com

Have a great weekend,

Sean Greeley

P.S. Also revealed in this issue is a marketing secret so powerful, Eric is willing to steal from his own wife! Shameful!

P.P.S. This month’s issue of FML is available for just 8 more days. Get it now (along with the 6 bonus reports and audio we’ve giving away) at http://www.NPEGold.com

Doug J. Krueger, Peak Performance Personal Training, Pewaukee, WI

“Hey guys. The attached picture is another example of me living the ‘Duplicator Dream’. It was taken on a Thursday afternoon at 2pm. Last week we signed 15 new clients and I only worked an hour and a half on Thursday. I spent the rest of the day doing things around the house. This week we have signed 8 new contracts. I am taking tomorrow off to take my family to St. Louis and go to the zoo. Once again, something that is possible thanks to Duplicator.”

Big News Coming Tomorrow AM

Monday, July 14th, 2008

I’m sending this e-mail later than intended today, but still wanted to get it out the door to you anyway.

I’ve got some big news to share.

But first, the background you may or may not know about…

July is a special month for us over here.

This month marks the official 2-year anniversary of NPE.

Hard to believe… but just 2 years ago Eric and I got together to form NPE. And I’ll tell you what, things have grown FAR beyond any of our original expectations.

It is truly amazing how much we’ve grown and how far we’ve come in a such a short period of time.

And we have you, our customers, to thank for that.

So, from the bottom of our hearts, I want to thank each and every one of you for the pleasure it is to serve you.

We wouldn’t be able to do what we do without your support. And I’ll tell you the past 2 years was just a warm-up… we’ve got a LOT more to come!

Ok, onto the big news for today…

Over the past 3 months we’ve been hard a work to put together an ‘online store’ where we have a complete listing of all our products and programs… all in one place.

Up until now we’ve only had a bunch of random bits-and-pieces of everything scattered in different places.

With MANY of our products that we’ve released during different launches, not even available ANYWHERE online.

Well, after a lot of hard work we’ve pulled everything together.

And tomorrow morning we’ll be launching a BIG SALE to celebrate both our 2-year anniversary and the opening of our new webstore.

We’re calling it the FREEDOM SALE.

The name has special meaning to us, because that’s what NPE Members are doing with all our systems, tools, and coaching… they’re “FREE-ING” themselves from all the problems the average fitness professional or studio owner faces.

So, tomorrow morning keep your eyes peeled for a special e-mail from me with the subject line “FREEDOM SALE”.

It’ll contain the link to our new online store, and a special code for you to grab anything you’ve been waiting to get your hands on….

…FOR 30% OFF!

That’s right.

Everything we’ve got… including some products and programs you probably weren’t even aware we had available… will be posted with a special code for you to grab everything at a 30% discount.

It’s time to celebrate… and empower yourself to FREEDOM.

More to come tomorrow,
Sean

My Top 10 Fit Biz Reading List

Wednesday, July 9th, 2008

Yesterday’s e-mail got a lot of comments from everyone.A lot of people wrote in and said they were inspired to rededicate themselves to reading from my message. And THAT is a very good thing.

I also got several questions on which books I’d recommend reading, so this morning I went through my library and pulled out some ‘classics’ I’d recommend every fitness business owner go through.

Check them out, along with my notes on each book and why I’m recommending it to you in the new video I’ve just posted above.

Nothing fancy, just recorded this at my desk this morning for you before heading to my workout.

It’s a little ‘guerrilla’, but I hope you enjoy it.

Sean

P.S. If you enjoyed this video, I encourage you to check out our new 5-part video training series on the BLUEPRINT for your fitness business. We’re giving away as a gift to all our newsletter subscribers at:

How To Become An Obvious Expert

Tuesday, July 8th, 2008

Hope you had a great 4th of July holiday.

Nice to get a few days off, isn’t it?

Christina and I were in Asheville, NC for a few days of R & R. And it was a great trip.

Got to tour the Biltmore, which if you haven’t heard of, is billed as America’s Largest Home.

It’s a 251 room ‘castle’ that was built by George Vanderbilt III in 1895.

And it’s impressive to say the least.

One of the most interesting things we saw was Vanderbilt’s library.

It’s 2 stories tall, which a great winding staircase that goes up to the ’second floor’ of the room. In total Vanderbilt’s collection was over 10,000 volumes.

A New York journalist one time hailed him as the ‘best read man in America’.

Vanderbilt kept a list of books he had read since the age of 12. And by the time he died that list totaled 3,159. Which was the equivalent of reading 2 books a week, for his entire life.

Pretty incredible, huh?

One thing I’ve always enjoyed is history. And in particular the biography’s and history of great men who have accomplished much in their lifetime.

Reading is something that every human being who wants to grow should do more of.

You know before we had X-Box, DVD, HD-TV, Blu-Ray, Apple TV, I-Phone, and all the like. That’s what people used to do- READ!

After this weekend I was inspired to rededicate myself to being an even better ’student’ of subjects that interest me like business and fitness.

Here’s a simple tip I heard from a mentor of mine that’ll I’ll share with you.

Go invest in 5 or 6 of the top books in your field.

Put them on your nightstand.

And then commit to reading a chapter a night.

That’s it. Just a chapter a night.

Do you know that if you did that, within 6 months you’ll have read 180 chapters?

How much more of an ‘expert’ do you think you’ll be once you’ve read that much more in your field?

Give it a shot.

To your success,
Sean

P.S. Another VERY important component of success is what I like to call setting “ambitiously realistic” goals - for both your personal and professional life. And that’s the subject of the first video in our new ‘BLUEPRINT’ training series. Check it out now at:

The Power Of “Giving Back”

Tuesday, June 3rd, 2008

Sean & Ken McCarthy

Sean & Ken McCarthy

Eric and I just got back late yesterday from a weekend trip to Chicago.

We were attending a conference on Internet marketing called “The System”.

It’s a big event done yearly by Ken McCarthy, who is known as the “grandfather” of Internet marketing.

Both Eric and I own several books and home-study courses by Ken, but this was the first time we actually got to hear him speak and meet in person.

Why were we so pumped about this?

Because Ken is famous for a lot of things, but most of all he’s the guy who brought “Direct Response” marketing to the internet back in the early-mid 90’s.

ALL the top marketers in the country are now, or have been at one time, students of Ken.

He’s a great teacher.

And reminds me more of a college professor than anything else.

You’ll NEVER hear the guy talking a bunch of hype.

And he’s known for being “anti-establishment”.

He doesn’t get caught up in all the “guru-worship” nonsense like so many folks out there today.

He’s just a good guy, with a wealth of information to share, who’s passionate about ‘giving back’ to the world.

Rare these days. And incredibly refreshing.

We’re on the same page with Ken’s philosophy over here at NPE, and hope you are too in your business.

How much have you “given back” to your community so far this year?

How much revenue has your business donated to a charity that means something to you?

If you went through our Gold Rush program this winter, then you’ve already seen the great power “giving back” can have for you both personally and professionally.

I don’t have the final total, but I believe our students raised collectively well of $50K in charity donations from Gold Rush this year.

In just a few days Eric and I will be announcing how we plan to “give back” to the community in a big way this year.

And a special *LIVE* event we’ll be hosting with a percentage of the proceeds going straight to one of our favorite charities- the Wounded Warrior Project.

It’s an organization that supports our troops who’ve given so much for us and this great country.

More details to follow later in the week.

Regards,
Sean

P.S. “Giving Back” is something we can all do more of. And if you haven’t done so yet this year. It doesn’t have to be a financial donation, it can simply be a donation of your time. And if you don’t have an organization that you prefer to give to, check out one of our favorites here:

Congratulations To Tony, Dave, and Mark

Thursday, April 24th, 2008

We’ve had a few awards go out this week and Eric and I want to publicly congratulate each of the winners.

First, we’ve got Tony Maslan, owner of Custom Fit Personal Training in Evansville, IN. If you were on the Duplicator™ webinar Tuesday you got to hear Tony speak about his story. Tony has just been killing it. In the past 6 months he’s gone from training 80 sessions a week to now only working a couple hours of week training. His time is now spent on sales, marketing, and management. He’s had bigger gross sales (thanks to Auto-Closer™) in the first quarter of this year than all of last. And on top of that he and his wife just had a new baby girl so he’s spending more time than ever at home with the family. Tony made an INCREDIBLE presentation at our Platinum mastermind meeting last weekend. He was the unanimous vote for “BEST PRESENTATION” by everyone in attendance. Congrats Tony!

Tony Maslan Best Presentation Award

Next award for the weekend went to David David, owner of Dubail Fitness Institute in Miami, FL. Dave has transformed his business and life over the past several months. Last summer he went through Auto-Closer™ and tripled his average ticket sale in the studio. Then in the fall he went through Duplicator™ and has transitioned from working IN the business to ON the business. Dave is no longer training 10 sessions a day. He’s got 2 admin assistants (one for morning, one for afternoons) and works primarily from home on his business. His presentation was just incredible. And he likes to give everyone a hard time on our weekly conference calls about how he just got done running on the beach!

Dave Dubail Most Improved

And the final award for the week goes to NPE Gold Plus Member Mark Saunders. Mark is the owner of Dynamic Bodies Personal Training in Tucson, AZ. Mark had a great submission on our Gold Plus webinar Tuesday, showing a full lead generation package that is pulling in leads on auto-pilot through both online and offline marketing. We had several VERY good submissions for the call, but we’re all about results and Mark showed a bunch of leads to us time and date stamped to prove the results his package is actually getting! So Congrats Mark, a check for $500 has been sent out to you. We’ll post your photo when we receive it!

Good Times At The Bowling Alley

Monday, April 21st, 2008

This past weekend the Platinum clients were in town for one of our ‘closed-door’ mastermind meetings. We have these meetings 3 times per year, and this was BY FAR the best one we’ve ever had yet. After a long day of work on Friday, we took the crew out for some dinner and fun. Ended up at the bowling alley which had ‘cosmic bowl’ from 10pm-1am, with great old-skool videos of funk music from the 70’s!

Here are a few random photos from the night:

Eric’s B-day Photo!

Wednesday, April 16th, 2008

Eric's Birthday

We celebrated Eric’s b-day in the office on Tuesday, just before getting on the Gold Plus call-in day marathon (which was exhausting, but a blast - thank you to all who participated and to those who couldn’t get through- we’ll have another next quarter).

If you haven’t wished him a happy b-day yet, you can do so by sending a message through the contact form above. The ol’ man turned 42 years young! :)
